Strange Forms · Blanket 01
Jungle Sherpa fleece blanket
Jungle is an all-over tangle of monstera, palm fronds and broad heart-shaped leaves, drawn in a fine broken line that looks like stitching. A few leaves are filled with stippled jade green. Most are outlines only, in pale grey, so the pattern seems to sink into the dark ground the longer you look.

The pattern
Drawn in outline, filled in green
The design works in two layers. Underneath is a dense web of pale grey outlines: overlapping leaves at every angle, with no clear top or bottom. On top, a handful of monstera leaves and palm fronds are picked out in jade, either filled with tiny dots or drawn in solid strokes.
Up close you see the drawing: the dashed strokes, the dotted texture of the larger leaves. From across a room it reads as one dark, cool surface with green coming through.
